DGDC

Metafro Infosys is an initiative of the Directorate general for Development Cooperation.

In Belgium, the execution of the cooperation programmes is entrusted to the Directorate-General for Development Cooperation (DGDC), which forms part of the federal Department of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation. Cooperation between governments is prepared and financed by the DGDC, but it is implemented by the Belgian Technical Cooperation (BTC)  organisation.

Belgian cooperation is governed by an Act passed by the Chamber of Representatives on May 25th 1999 and published in the Belgian Staatsblad (government gazette) on July 1st 1999. The parliament thereby established a clear legal framework for Belgian cooperation.
